Diary of a Creator, March 2025 – Stability

After a month of focus on the creator side of things, we are turning the focus back on the central theme of the journey – learning. This month is going to be all about art and balancing work with it. Excited!

February set great expectations for March. But I’m choosing to start this month grounded and keep my expectations in check, also because I have two major workshops lined up this month.

March 1, Saturday

The Chasing Rainbows workshop is starting tomorrow and I’m really excited about it. I don’t know why and I don’t know what to expect either. But I’m very very curious.

March 2, Sunday

The workshop was much more interesting than I expected and in a whole different direction. But its also hectic, so I wonder if I will be able to keep up with content creation while it’s going on.

March 4, Tuesday

Reel day! After two days of effort in editing the sword sequence from my Kalari training. I think it came out well – Kalaripayattu sword sequence.

March 8, Saturday

Late newsletter this week – “I’m not an artist”: One of the many stupid things I have told myself.

I also posted a carousel today on the Chasing Rainbows workshop. I really want to write a proper blog on the experience. I was a rather intense and wholesome one. I ended up finding a teacher and a well-wisher who I believe are going to have a major impact on my life.

March 9 – 13

New workshop – Art Alive in the Mountains. And sickness. What a combo!

I was barely able to do anything at all but I did manage to finish a painting. A painting of my camping site from my first-ever trek.

March 14, Friday

Shared a picture of my first-ever proper painting today! As a Holi post. I’m rather proud of it, whether or not it performs well.

March 15, Saturday

After much hesitance, I finally managed to edit and post the reel on Slow Down Bucket List – Solo Date Night. But I must say, I don’t have much hope for how it will perform.

For the second time this month, the Newsletter is delayed! It went out today – One Road, A Hundred Walks: Have you thought about this?

March 18, Tuesday

Few more stories are left from Kalaripayattu training. But for some reason, it’s hard to go back to it, and when I do, it leaves me missing it a lot. Today, I pushed through and made a reel on it as planned – A moment that’s very special to me.

March 19, Wednesday

Shared a carousel on Art Alive in the Mountains workshop today.

Also shared the second blog of the month: New Roads, New Skills: Journey of Learning, Curiosity & Embracing Who I Am. The backstory and context of this journey.

March 20, Thursday

We are back on track (I hope) with the Thursday Newsletter! This week, I sent out this: Sometimes, it’s just not your season: Are you being kind to yourself through it? A story of my journey of failing multiple times in my attempt to be a digital nomad.

March 24, Monday

I think I posted what is possibly my first-ever re-purposed reel (from my blog) – My struggle with travel friendship. Love the visuals on this one. I think the iPhone has really stepped up my video game.

Also, finally wrote and posted my third blog of the month: The Hardest Part of Being a Digital Nomad. When will I ever get into posting on time for my blog!!!

March 26, Wednesday

Posted a candid moment as a reel today of me being emotional about a sunset. But I’m not very sure if I should do these kinds of posts. They are great memories, but do they resonate with my brand? It feels like they make for good fillers (which is why I posted it today because I wasn’t in the mood to create one) and are very feel-good. Still not sure…

March 27, Thursday

Fourth of the month and properly on a Thursday! Here’s what I sent out this week: Monk, Monkey Mind and Momos: Finding focus, one momo at a time. It’s based on the Sunday speech I attended. Good run on the newsletter this month!

March 28, Friday

Spent some time thinking about the next few content pieces today and also created what I think is a beautiful carousel! But it felt really good to write and come up with new ideas. It feels like it’s been forever.

But feeling a little bad about not posting anything today.

March 29, Saturday

Shared the carousel today: What I saw in my 2 months in Bir.

I also wrote 3 rough drafts for the newsletter today! Feel like my brain is finally opening up with new ideas!

March 30, Sunday

Spent the day planning content and engagement strategy for the month of April. Somehow, this is always so exciting and motivating. Did this last month too and managed to stick to it decently. For the next month, I have set the bar a little higher; let’s see if I can hit it!

March 31, Monday

Despite not wanting to do anything today, I pushed myself to create the reel that was planned for today. Feeling very meh about it, but hey, you cannot feel and be your 100% as a creator everyday – Final episode on Kalaripayattu experience.

Monthly Reflection of a Creator

This month was good. But I have realised something this month – I might not be comfortable yet with the idea of being successful. I know I could be doing more for this journey, but I have been putting it off! Even when I have had the time and space for it, I have found reasons not to put in more effort, which I find is absolutely basic for this.

Not that I want to go all crazy and do too much. But at least increase the efforts by 50%, maybe? Take my creator pursuits much more seriously instead of doing last-minute things to get the minimum number of pieces out. I have done that for months now and I believe now I’m all warmed up for taking it seriously.

Happy note: Both on Instagram and Substack, the community seem to be growing at a higher rate! That’s good news.
